For pregnant women whove suffered cpd in the past is because the reccommendation for diabetics and weve ignored thats standard our statistics reflect that ignorance too the world.

thats really werid that you have keytones but your sugar levels are ok. try having a glass of milk that appreantly helps to get rid of them, its possible that if you can't get rid of the ketones maybe they will put you on insulin injections or tablets, im not sure i don't have much knowledge of ketones and gest diabeties, just make sure you let your doc know about the ketones

Carbs bring your blood sugar up quickly, and they are having you count carbs to manage, or even out, the highs and lows.

A rapid increase in keytones means that the carbs you ate acted quickly. Changing the kinds of carbs you eat can help with the speed at which your sugar changes... for example, a glass of juice and an orange might have the same number of carbs -- but the juice acts 'instantly', and the fruit acts over an hour. Look to replace some fast-acting sugars with slower acting foods.

For the keytones -- liquids. Not sweetened, or caffiene -- but water, diet 7UP, unsweetened tea. High sugar makes you thirsty anyway, so keep the water going.

And, good luck with your pregnancy, you're doing the right things by paying attention!
