I just finished using some older strips and they were fine. It may depend on just how old were they? Normals on blood sugar are 70 to 120 and should return to those levels in two hours after you eat. Take your readings very serious. Here's the spiel. Diabetes is progressive. You play around with it and it gets worse faster. You really can't stop it but you can sure slow it down. Once the diabetes progresses there is no going back. Learn all you can and watch those carbs. You may just be eating too much or too many heavy carbs like potatoes, rice, bread, sugar, milk and all things white and then the starchy veggies. Start eating green things for your carbs and you can slow the whole thing down with your just your eating. If not, get to the doctor and find one that will be sure your sugar is in control. Any doctor that takes your treatment or your sugar level lightly, get rid of them and find one that will teach you how to control it so that you have a long healthy life. Good luck. . .
And always test your sugar often. . .it will save your life.

If strips are old they may read High. And peeing has nothing to do with it. If it did it would be in the instructions.
Also the results may be accurate or may not..

Who knows?
