I have type 1 diabetes and my insurance will not pay for testing strips?

Mamber Lou asked:

Does anyone know where I can get some assistance for this problem. They are very expensive and I go through about 75 strips a week.

I would check with your insurance company and see if there is another brand they will cover. I had this problem too and was actually able to find test strips for some what cheaper (still not cheap) on ebay. I know it sounds crazy and slightly sketchy but they worked perfectly fine. Just watch out for people trying to sell expired strips.
