how to check blood glucose (instrument suggestion ) ?
Hi,
My father has recently come to USA, IL and has visitor insurace from first health network for 2 months. He is a diabetic patient and checks the glucose/sugar level in blood regularly every month.
We do not know where he can get the blood sugar checked in IL. We also saw some blood glucose measuring devices in Walgreen or other pharmacies. but we do not know which one is good and easier to use. I would like to know 2 things
1. where can he go to check blood-glucose? what will be charges ?
2. will it be better to buy the blood glucose measuring device. Which device/ vendor ? ( one without strips would be better too)
Thanks in advance
NADIA
