Finding free diabetic test strips

yonnas_auntie03 asked:

This has proven to be a very difficult thing to do, there are several websites that will give away a free glucometer, but I cant seem to find any that will give away free test strips. I am an insulin dependent diabetic, i take two shots a day. I was diagnosed when I was 16 years old and at the time I had Medicaid, I live in Arkansas and they told me that after I turned 19 if I wasn’t pregnant then I was on my own for medical. I am currently not working due to my diabetes and have been having a hard time affording the strips, if anyone knows anything that could help I would be forever grateful.
Thanks

Why are you not working? Diabetes should not keep you from being gainfully employed. If you are not working at 19, then you do qualify for Medicaid, as it is based on income. No income= you qualify.
