Johnny asked: So I thought i’d check my rats and they have what looks to be dry blood around their noses.
Well, I have 3 and two of them have blood around their noses and a couple bits of their bedding has dry blood on it aswell.
Ive checked them over and ive found no blood else where, but this is quite a concern to me, any body know what this is?
Ive recently added newspaper strips to their bedding and they seem to like it (having moved all of it to the top of their cage to where they sleep), I added this detail (about the newspaper) as a clue to what it possibly is.
Thanks =]

Syn B. asked:
I was recently put on suicide watch at a local jail (TN) where I was stripped down nude with no adequate cover, no medical treatment (open wounds) or mental evaluation for hours, and refused a phone call for almost ten hours. I attempted to cut myself on a overhead sprinkler which flooded the feces( and blood caked) infested cell and left to sit in several inches of infested water for over a hour. I am looking for information on regulations and standards that they obviously ignored while i was incarcerated. Anybody?

Autie asked: I’m 39 weeks pregnant and the doctor stripped my membranes this morning. I had been feeling cramping for a few days now and even had some actually contractions last Saturday for a couple hours. After the procedure I had some stronger cramping so I followed with walking the mall for an hour and a half and sex… After that I saw some mucus with a few drops of blood.
After a nap I’m no longer feeling the cramping.

About how much longer will all of this take?? Any suggestions on getting this started any sooner?
PS. I’m 1cm dialated, and the baby has dropped already.

MJ asked:
I had my membranes stripped at 2pm yesterday. Since I have had strong short irregular contractions, lots of blood keeps coming out. Not bright red, more brownish. I need to wear a pad, it is that much. Those are the only symptoms. Do you think I lost my mucus plug? I am dilated to one and 25 % effaced and the doc told me to wait it out at home. I need to start to dilate more before she can help me get things going. I have medical probs and I am being induced on the 9th. My doc wanted to strip my membranes to see if she could get things going before that date. What are some ways to help me dilate at home?

AK asked: Hi, I was recently told I was a pre-diabetic, so I bought an Accu-chek Active meter online. I just got it in the mail today, so I ran a few tests with new strips and everything.
All of my results came back with blood sugars of 12 - 17. I tested my roommate too and she was tested at a level of 17.
I didn’t know I had to buy control solution, as well, when I purchased all my… um, gear. SHOULD I buy some, or is my meter just faulty? What do you guys think if going on?
My meter has strips that come with a key code card that you just insert into the side of the meter.
I’m in the US, and my meter seems to only have the option of mg/dL.
I’m pretty sure I’ve inserted the code key correctly, because whenever I insert a new strip, the number on the code key appears on the screen just fine.
Do you guys think I just have a faulty meter on my hands?

IamBatman asked:
I know that there are health benefits to drinking red wine in moderation, such as it contains anti-oxidants and can help lower blood pressure, but can you get any vitamins from drinking red wine, or does the process of it being made into alcohols strip it of it’s nutrients?

Crystal - asked:
Right after applying the crest white strips (I don’t if there’s a connection) and while I was flossing, I noticed a small dark spot, almost black looking in the light located somewhere in the middle and to the back of the inside of my cheek. I scraped at it with my finger, and it came away with specks of coagulated blood and fresh blood. I checked the spot right after scraping off the top of the spot, and now it appeared to be just a red spot, just a little bit darker than the color of my cheek, with blood under the surface. If I feel at it with my tongue, it’s a little bit raised like a small bump. It’s absolutely painless. I’m 19 and I take good care of my teeth. I haven’t bitten my cheeks or damaged in any other way that I can recall. I don’t think I’ve ever seen something like this inside my mouth, and I was just wondering how worried I should be about it. Should I wait to see if it disappears before contacting a dentist? Thanks in advance for your input!
