A question on diabetes?

Pen2Paper asked:

I am not sure if anyone can help, but if you can, thanks! I’m 28, have Cushings, over weight, had diet controlled gestational diabetes, work out every morning & am near sighted. My husband and I have been for a baby, & my last period was in April. For the last month, I thought I was. A blood test showed I’m not.
I pee often, have horrible headaches, some are migrains, some come w/nose bleeds, I’m nausious until I eat, get grumpy if I don’t eat, my glasses do not seem to be strong enough, & at my doctors appointment on Saturday my BP was 170/110.
I am under a ton of stress (I have a four and a half year old, work full time, & go to college full time) so I thought maybe that was why the BP was high. But, now I’m wondering about diabetes. I can’t get into the Dr for another 2 weeks, but he is sending the pharmacy a Rx for testing strips.
Does it sound like diabetes or something else? Should I be in a normal range (90-140), and what is considered high? Can it affect my cycle/weight?

Do you think that I have Diabetes?

(First -off, a quick overview: age twenty four, female, no prior health problems).
Sometime ago I began to have an overall ill feeling - like I had the flu. Nausea, stomach aches on my left side, dizziness, headaches… I thought I was pregnant and began testing myself frequently to check if I was or not. I’m not pregnant and many months have gone by.
Doing some research online, my symptoms brought me to something called, “DKA,” or Diabetic Ketoacidosis which has to do with Diabetes. In turn, I went to the local Wal -mart and purchased a container of Ketone Testing Strips. With this test it was a negative, but upon further reading it seems a false negative could happen because I’m dehydrated and such, making my urine quite acidic.
Diabetes does in fact run not only on my Mother’s side of the Family, but my Father’s as well. I am fearing that I too have diabetes, but I have no insurance, no Family Dr., and no way to get either. I am seeking a Diabetic Specialist to pay to have a look at me, but if this is life threatening, I will have to go to the E.R., so I am in desperate need of any opinions and/or answers..
My symptoms now include: Intense thirst, frequent urination, chronic stomach pains, nausea/puking, loss of appetite, weight loss of ten or more pounds, numbness in hands and feet, headaches, rapid breathing, exhaustion, blurred vision, dizziness and confusion.
Any input will be most appreciated, thank you.

I can barely afford the insulin and then there is the strips that cost $100-200 a month depending on how many times you test (at least 3 times daily)
