The new advertisement for the Diabetes test strips…Freestyle lite…it plays a Hippie song that came out in the 60’s or 70’s. It is also played on the Movie Joe Dirt when Joe is in the House being fumigated. I have been trying to find out the name of this song forever. Please help?
THIS SONG IS NOT ON THE JOE DIRT SOUNDTRACK
IT IS CALLED SHAMBALA BY THREE DOG NIGHT

I have just been dianosed with Diabetes and the doctor gave me a tester, strips, prickers and metfoman as a med. Now before i have started the METFOMIN my blood sugars are on wake up 140 and then 2 hours after eating breakfast 230 then go down to like 150 then i eat lunch and i get to like 280. i guess my question to people with diateeties is how long after i start the pills should i see a change in this level and will i feel funny when i first start it. Also it says 1 in 30k get lactic acidosis that can kill you. Do the benefits outweigh the risk? also what happens if my sugar is like 350 or something becuse i ate a lot of food. Also what can i eat. I have been looking and everything has SUGAR and CARBs in it so what do i do. Is my life over. I like to eat. can someone give me a good diet for someone that likes cheeseburgers and chicken wings and pizza. HELP!!! I dont know what to eat.. or if i should eat.

We make just a little to much to get medicade, we only pull in 25,000 a year as a family of 4 and that is to much in MT for my wife to have medicade. My 2 boys have it but not her. I have health insurence through my work but we are still having to spend 30 dollars for each vile of insulin and 25 for one thing of test strips. Its getting to expensive we can hardly pay rent anymore. Any suggestions?

ok well to start off with im 33 wks preggo and i did the one hour diab test a while back and i had to do the three hour one …so it came back and she (my nurse) told me that it came back one point off, a 96, that was the first hour then the second one and the third one came back fine..so now i have to go see a dietician and nutrionist ..she said i will have to test myself 4 times a day and as long as their normal i wont have to take insulin..my docs office says that they might b able to find me a monitor but if they do it will b a new kind and the strips will b very expensive ..my questions are

#1- have any of u ever went through this and once the babys born u dont have reg diabetes ..it all goes away??

#2- would any of u know where i could get a free monitor..i live in missouri??

#3- what are the chances of the baby being too big..and if she is do the lungs develop at the same rate or is their a chance the lungs wouldnt be developed??

any answers would be greatly appreciated ..ive never had this before ..i am going to do some research but thought i would ask here first for personal experience. thanks!!

My son, not yet diagnosed has bg readings anywhere from normal to over 200. He is getting these weird stomach problems that he says are 80% nausea and 20% pain. I know that this can go along with diabetes, but what is the cause and how do I help him??? They are getting worse in intensity and more frequent. I am out of test strips and am flat broke.
Can you help me to understand what is happening to him and how to help him, other than crackers. I have read every site on the net I could find. Here’s the run down on him:
8yrs old 4′ 6″ 74 lbs otherwise healthy
drinks a lot urinates often
has occasional migraines & this crazy stomach thing
In all of my worry, I forgot to mention that we do have an appt w/ Brenners Childrens Hospital in Jan. That seems so far away from now. I don’t know how to help him til then. I found on the sites where the stomach thing is part of it, but not how to help
one said sacrafice something, one said sell something… In Nov, I lost everything. My estranged husband who had me working for him and controlling the $$ didn’t pay the bills, now the kids and I live in my Mom’s spare room. I may have a job, find out 2day. We only got to keep our clothes. He had already hocked everything else. We are more than broke, we are destitute

I spend like about $80 a month for all these stuff expect for the test strips & lancets i get those for free thank to my insureance
