Ok so my friend gave me a bottle with a few chemstrip 10 md strips in it because I thought I had a kidney infection. I have a very long history of kidney infections, I used to get several every year since I was very small… from the results that I know how to read I know that this does point to a kidney infection- but I am not sure what everything else means.

I do also have all the symptoms that I usually have ie: frequent urination that tingles very badly and is extremely uncomfortable. It also feels like I can not empty my bladder. Sharp shooting pains in my back, right side and also in the right front of my abdomen closer to the side… I had a fever yesterday and chills but also hot flashes today and yesterday. I did a strip yesterday and the day before but the only things that really showed anything abnormal was : Leukocytes + and Blood/ Hemoglobin was about 250 Ery/

I just did another strip and they read as follows:
Specific Gravity-1.020
pH-5
Leukocytes - ++
Nitrite- Pos
Protein- 30
Glucose- Normal
Ketones- Neg
Urobilinogen- Normal
Bilirubin- +
Blood / Hemoglobin- About 250 ery/
Do these results require an ER visit… like now? Or should I wait… I have a dr apt on wednesday
Also I am not menstrating nor have I done so within the last week…

ok, this weekend i was checking my grandma’s glucose levels with a home test. She pricked her finger and i was holding the monitor to collect the blood, as it was moving up the strip, i started feeling sick to my stomach so i decided to walk away rather than puke on her. That was the last thing i remembered, the next thing i knew i was waking up on the floor with the entire family around me because i passed out/seizured and hit my head on the way down. I’ve had black outs and seizures before, they were supposedly caused by pain, because i would usually hurt myself badly prior to passing out. This time there was no pain other than the stomach turning. the paramedics were called to take me to an ER because they were afraid i fractured something on my way down. Everyone there told me to stay away from blood, but i don’t think that was that was the case. I was also knocked out 2 minutes longer than i had ever been. Does anyone have any ideas as to whats wrong with me???
by the way, i was fully hydrated at the time. I am not pregnant. And I’m the only one in my family who has seizures or faints.

Oh and the sight of blood has never made me feel sick unless its accompanied with a giant needle being stuck into me.
I’ve seen a doctor about this in the past, i was studied for about 2 months and after all of that they couldn’t find anything, they did MRIs and CAT scans, and so many other tests that i don’t remember the name of, they just haven’t been able to figure out the problem, which is why i’m hoping somebody can tell me there experience with this, or at least give me an idea as to whats wrong
