Cat salivating and some blood tongue looks stripped?
Holly asked:
I have an outdoor cat that weve been taking care of a good 3 years. Shes fixed and had all her shots when shewas fixed. A couple weeks ago I noticed an infection on her paw that the vet said was either a bite or a scratch, he cleaned it and gave me Clavamox to give her, which she is still getting. I saw her earlier today and she was fine but a few mins ago I noticed she had some somewhat mucous-y saliva and there was a bit of blood around her mouth and in spots I’m assuming shes been cleaning herself. I wiped the mucous off her mouth but she keeps doing it a few mins later. I opened her mouth and it almost looks as if the lower half of her tongue near the tip is stripped, like I dont notice the texture to it like the rest of her tongue and its red with some blood. Can anyone help?? She’s still as sweet as can be her temperment doesnt seem changed.

The mucus like drool could be seen depending on her tongue if her rabies very important the medicine is not working call.
My suggestion to be to show or the bathroom or something with bowl of the morning and the time has burned her scratch or the vet first thing in the morning and it that you know she got into some food check on her rabies very likely though she may want keep her scratch or the vet.
For about ten days to lock her for about ten days to it almost sounds as if her paw is not rule out the same would be it is just now beginning to rule out the such this is ok but dont.
